For months writer friends have been encouraging me to write a blog. It keeps the creative juices flowing, it helps you network, it can promote your work. I hemmed. I hawed. This summer I almost did it but the techno-phobia thing held me back.
Then a great job fell into my lap. A job blogging! Finally I was forced to learn about blogging–fast. And I did. Another thing I learned was that I like blogging! But since I was hired to write about a narrow subject I couldn’t include everything I wanted on my new job blog. I wanted to tell people about all the great authors I was reading, the writing contests I had found, my frustrations with editors, deadlines and myself. But it didn’t fit.
Happily, an online friend held my hand setting up the blog. OK, who am I kidding. She set the blog up and answered all my stupid questions. There it sat on my computer. Empty. Intimidating. So I set a deadline. January 1! The grand opening! The big day! The first day of the rest of my blog! So here I am.
See you tomorrow!

Looks great, Jodi!
